Getting information does not just happen, it is an operation or procedure and the nature of the operation determines the meaning of the information (remembering always that information is always encoded physically, and that information interacts with information to give information). This is where the ancients erred. Though they postulated an active intellect, they thought that the senses were passive, whereas we now know that the senses are active in acquiring and processing information. Since their metaphysics is developed via linguistics from their psychology, their psychological error (the active and passive elements of the 'soul') has led to a metaphysical error, the distinction between matter and spirit. Here we enter the arena of physics, information, psychology and metaphysics in the more modern spirit, founding ourselves on the scientific method, that is a model for the acquisition of reliable information. It needs to be reliable because we do not have minds simply for the contemplation of the beauty of god, but for survival, discerning within the beauty those operations that are good for us and those that are not so good. So I set about altering the processing of my site log so as to get a better picture of the referrers pointing to my server.

The 'Fall' punishment for eating from the tree of knowledge may be the first recorded attack by ruling powers on thinkers.
Our aim is to develop algorithms for good government that are so transparent that anybody can use them successfully in the absence of widespread corruption, and that will serve as a tool for identifying and reducing corruption.

The key insight in this discussion is that the term 'insight' as used by Lonergan (and other authors) points to the same reality as 'the collapse of the wave function' as used by quantum mechanics. We demonstrate this isomorphism by mapping both ideas onto the same mathematical model.

The Company is simply an entity, a personality, which will live as long as the Australian constitution (and its successors) and as long as it pays its fees.
We want a hybrid profit/non-profit.
Assert copyright and license and then distribute freely. Income from donations and earnings. Shares listed, but expect to wait for a dividend.
As in animations we make a skeleton first (the mathematical model) and then clothe it in the full complexity of the body and mind. The first thing to do is to describe the wilderness and then the experience of people (like those in the Bible or the Iliad) who are caught at the border between wilderness and culture.
Insofar as organisms are competing, they are in a wilderness. Insofar as they are cooperating, they are in a civilization. Civilization is surrounded by wilderness. Sport is a civilized way of experiencing wilderness, insofar as it constructs and acts out wildernesses requiring varying levels of violence and skill to win. The importance of sport is not just to win, but to participate, thus learning how to deal with opposition. Newton's third law tells us that there will always be an equal and opposite opposition to any force that reveals itself. The algebraic sum of forces in the Universe is zero (?)

Iliad: Humans - to some extent intelligible and controllable.
Gods - not so.
So Islam, submission to god.
Public religion is a public health measure, 'saving'; and enriching lives, ie it is a source of wealth. The source of wealth. There is nothing to say religion is good and bad except an integration of the health and happiness of its carriers.
The Theology Company has opinions. We make this a symbol, a brand like the Christian fish. It is, however, an embracing role of company, one of the deepest desires of all people for in company lies safety and fitness and reproductive opportunity, both biological and noetic. Witness oral traditions captures in text like the Iliad. So we would like The Theology Company's symbol to embrace the whole Universe.

TIME : CAUSALITY
The God of Genesis, like Zeus in the Iliad, has a nasty streak which shows in the way he enjoys bringing hard times on mortals. While the gods play and exist in eternal bliss, mortals suffer pain and death, and worst of all, war. Yahweh's chosen people, at least as depicted in the Bible, valued war as the means of growing to greatness. This tradition was followed by Mohammed but rejected by Jesus. The Iliad, too has a mature, nuanced vision of war, corresponding to the of its generations of oral authors and that of the scribe(s) who captures the spirit of their heritage.
The Universe is our heritage, but we do not own it,

but must submit to its physical requirements while being able to enjoy its spiritual place.
The Theology Company is the broadest possible church. If you are human, you are welcome. We search, like everybody else, for clear algorithms that stop us from doing stupid things.
DEMOCRACY = MAXIMUM INTELLIGENCE
'Economist' is based on 'liberal capitalism' or some such description. The Theology Company needs a similar statement of the breadth of its ambit.
The systems which control a system must have the same or greater complexity than the system itself, ie they must be its peers.
