MEANING
The fundamental fit is that both the world and the natural numbers are quantized and so correspondences can be established. This leads is to a model for meaning. Meaning, in a lexical sense, the the correspondence between a word, eg 'cheese' and a text which tells us what cheese means, ie what the word cheese corresponds to in the world of experience '....'.
We have a certain fear of quantization? What happens in the gaps between the numbers and the gaps that become intuitively obvious when we plot the natural numbers on the geometric line.
Set theory specifies order by containment. Set theory uses the theory of order to model the lines. Higher parts of the line contain the line as the universe contains the big bang and all subsequent events imprinted upon it insofar as it is compatible with conservation laws and change.

They adapt to local and global changes on all timescales from minutes to millennia. Recent data from diverse fields are establishing their central importance to plant physiology, evolution and global ecology. Stomatal morphology, distribution and behaviour respond to a spectrum of signals, from intracellular signalling to global clmatic change.
