There is no initial coupling between quantum of action and measure of energy, as we see in photons, one quantum, unlimited energy. This is a boson trait, no limit to amount of energy in one 'place'.

Why is dot product (and equivalent integration) so prevalent in physics? More generally, why vector space, linear algebra and matrix representation of groups? [does nature do all these calculations, or are they the result for us of unnecessary differentiations?].

[page 88]

Continuum describes things with no memory: every moment is algorithmically coupled to the moment before, but we need an algorithm to decide the nature of the coupling. In quantum mechanics the coupling are addition and multiplication of complex numbers, and the algorithm is the circle group. We can describe an algorithm (function) by lists of its inputs and corresponding outputs, such lists we imagine being addressed by the real numbers, ie continuous functions. Path integral formulation - Wikipedia

How do we apply path integral method to transfinite numbers? Consider the mappings of the natural numbers to themselves, which are stationary = computable = in phase =

We are animating the formal network with energy and consider that the observable energy contents of different links are determined by algorithms - energy = processing rate.

I was brought up to believe an amazing story and swallowed the practical consequences of it whole to save my soul from my body. This is the price I paid for false ideas, but it has driven me to a correction.

General logical covariance: the rules of logic are the same in every frame of reference. In particular, computability and non-computability are defined in the same way in every frame, ie every representation of mathematics = applied logic.

We examine the space of logical operators with to inputs: 2 to 1 can be deterministic, 1 to 2 can be deterministic (fanout)

or random, incomputable. Fan-out - Wikipedia

I am slowly building the structure in which I can say what I want to say. Like Father and Son, a universe of two symbols p and not-p oscillating randomly between these states, ie energy recursion without any definite period, the random ticking clock which gradually get channelled into a discrete spectrum of clock rates. Run out of steam but optimistic. The notion that the universe is rooted in divine simplicity appeals to my simplistic mind.

'not' is a way back out of unwanted situations.

If we assume that 0 = 2, 1 = 20 , then we have the sequence 2, 22, 24. 216, 264k, etc. Maybe 264k is the number of fundamental particles in the universe, ie the number of point particles in 4-space and then the number of complex particles grows transfinitely from there. A

[page 90]

point particle represents the complexity of the space it occupies.

The idea that energy is the product of the not operation does not specify the frequency of the operation, so that from the point of view of the more developed world the actual frequency and energy of the universe could have any value, and we could say that all values from zero to 0 are equiprobable, ie there is a symmetry here which will be broken by the advent of higher layers in the universe. From the point of view of computation, the actual frequency of the clock is irrelevant except that it influences the frequency of complete computations via a factor introduced by the complexity of the computation.

Perhaps the next step relevant to the understanding of gravitation is to understand the bifurcation of energy into potential and kinetic ie the introduction of memory, space and fixed points into the system with the algebraic property that the sum of potential and kinetic energy is zero. Maybe we can understand them in terms of the 1, -1 metric and the boson/fermion distinction, ie the emergence of space (fermions) from energy (bosons). From the network point pf view, bosons are the messengers and fermions are the nodes.

The idea documented on 21/9 gives a bit more credibility to the logical model of the universe and seems to suggest that we should now consider operations that involve two inputs and one or two outputs. The simultaneous existence of two fixed points adds to the complexity of not which only requires the sequential existence of two states. One might see bosons as energy, fermions as form by analogy with Aristotle. From the metaphysical point of view, matter and form may be seen as the same duality as kinetic and potential energy.

Are we getting anywhere here, or are we just playing with words, looking for

[page 91]

a physical model of the mathematica notion of the fixed points in the divine dynamics. The introduction of a fixed point introduces a duality of fixed/not fixed [potential/kinetic]. From a mathematical point of view, the existence of a fixed point is related to the existence of a boundary on the set of interest., and we may think of the fixed point as an image of the boundary. We may think of a boundary as a symmetry, ie as a nothing that surrounds the something of the set [from the logical point of view, the boundary lies between consistent and non-consistent, ie mathematically non-existent].

Quantum mechanics is reversible, ie not creative, so we need second order systems like gravitation to create the world.

Dream: My daughter has a newborn, and I have been reading Streater and Wightman in bed. Chided by a police person [for] not strapping the baby into the capsule properly. Plead that at this stage the baby is only 2D, so cannot strap him in properly. Realize that the Lorentz transformation applies in 1, -1 space, but what about the PCT symmetry and the spin statistics theorem at this level of complexity. Polanyi, Michael, and Amaryta Sen (foreword), The Tacit Dimension, University Of Chicago Press 2009 Amazon product description: '“I shall reconsider human knowledge by starting from the fact that we can know more than we can tell,” writes Michael Polanyi, whose work paved the way for the likes of Thomas Kuhn and Karl Popper. The Tacit Dimension argues that tacit knowledge—tradition, inherited practices, implied values, and prejudgments—is a crucial part of scientific knowledge. Back in print for a new generation of students and scholars, this volume challenges the assumption that skepticism, rather than established belief, lies at the heart of scientific discovery.'

Streater, Raymond F, and Arthur S Wightman, PCT, Spin, Statistics and All That, Princeton University Press 2000 Amazon product description: 'PCT, Spin and Statistics, and All That is the classic summary of and introduction to the achievements of Axiomatic Quantum Field Theory. This theory gives precise mathematical responses to questions like: What is a quantized field? What are the physically indispensable attributes of a quantized field? Furthermore, Axiomatic Field Theory shows that a number of physically important predictions of quantum field theory are mathematical consequences of the axioms. Here Raymond Streater and Arthur Wightman treat only results that can be rigorously proved, and these are presented in an elegant style that makes them available to a broad range of physics and theoretical mathematics.'

Salart, Daniel, et al, "Testing the speed of 'spooky action at a distance'", Nature, 454, , 14 August 2008, page 861-864. 'Correlations are generally described by one of two mechanisms: either a first event influences a second one by sending information encoded in bosons or other physical carriers, or the correlated events have some common causes in their shared history. Quantum physics predicts an entirely different kind of cause for some correlations, named entanglement. This reveals itself in correlations that violate Bell inequalities (implying that they cannot be described by common causes) between space-like separated events (implying that they cannot be described by classical communication). Many Bell tests have been performed, and loopholes related to locality and detection have been closed in several independent experiments. It is still possible that a first event could influence a second, but the speed of this hypothetical influence (Einstein's 'spooky action at a distance') would need to be defined in some universal privileged reference frame and be greater than the speed of light. Here we put stringent experimental bounds on the speed of all such hypothetical influences. We performed a Bell test over more than 24 hours between two villages separated by 18 km and approximately east–west oriented, with the source located precisely in the middle. We continuously observed two-photon interferences well above the Bell inequality threshold. Taking advantage of the Earth's rotation, the configuration of our experiment allowed us to determine, for any hypothetically privileged frame, a lower bound for the speed of the influence. For example, if such a privileged reference frame exists and is such that the Earth's speed in this frame is less than 10-3 times that of the speed of light, then the speed of the influence would have to exceed that of light by at least four orders of magnitude.. back

Not only has Saudi Arabia executed more than 100 people already this year, mostly by beheading (a rate of 1 execution every two days), and not only is it serially flogging dissidents, but it is reaching new levels of tyrannical depravity as it is about to behead and then crucify the 21-year-old son of a prominent regime critic, Ali Mohammed al-Nimr, who was convicted at the age of 17 of engaging in demonstrations against the government.' back

The same concept applies to wave motion, viewed either at a point in space over an interval of time or across an interval of space at a moment in time. Robert Mickens, Letter from Rome: With the Pope in Washington, 'The iron hand within Francis' velvet glove is well hidden by millennia of spin but he remains, nevertheless, the most absolute of absolute monarchs, as a quick look at Canon 333 of the Code states. He has done well to draw attention to poverty and environmental damage, but we must remember that he represents an organization that maintains that women are second class citizens, that chastity is better than sex, that modern methods of fertility control are evil, that we are morally defective origial sinners, that life Earth is just a temporary testing ground on the way to heaven (or hell), that death is not real, and that ancient fiction is to be prefered to scientific observation. At its core, for all its popularity, the Catholic Church is a rotten and dangerous amalgam of absolute monarchy and denial of reality. Spin (physics) - Wikipedia, Spin (physics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, 'In quantum mechanics and particle physics, spin is an intrinsic form of angular momentum carried by elementary particles, composite particles (hadrons), and atomic nuclei.
Spin is one of two types of angular momentum in quantum mechanics, the other being orbital angular momentum. Orbital angular momentum is the quantum-mechanical counterpart to the classical notion of angular momentum: it arises when a particle executes a rotating or twisting trajectory (such as when an electron orbits a nucleus). The existence of spin angular momentum is inferred from experiments, such as the Stern–Gerlach experiment, in which particles are observed to possess angular momentum that cannot be accounted for by orbital angular momentum alone.' back
