Replace the word theology with ideology = human mental content.

As with the rotation of the Sun around the Earth and vice versa there are two views of the nature of God and we seek the experimentum crucis (like the phases of Venus) to distinguish them. The standard model of god is self contradictory as I show in my book Chapter 3: Lonergan. Jeffrey Nicholls (2025): Cognitive Cosmogenesis: A systematic integration of Physics and Theology

Creation requires disinhibition and I have reached an age when I have no need to be inhibited because my powers are limited anyway, but I want to take my new theology as far as it can go, writing for the Atlantic, starting on about the 4th edition of Imperial genocide is a theological crime because wholesale killing is motivated by the excision of heresy, the standardization of belief which is what Nicea, Constantine, all the Popes and dictators and Trump want to do and the fundamental error is eliminating creation which is rooted in Kolmogorov’s axiomatization of probability which feeds into the cognitive cosmogenesis site page 28 principle 15 Chapter 28: Principles embedded in this site Andrey Nikolaevich Kolmogorov (1956): Foundations of the Theory of Probability

Philip 77. Auntie Rosalie very confused; and me? Still looking for a path to global theology and slowly seeing something taking shape in the mist. Beginning to see that cognitive cosmogenesis is a firm foundation upon which I can build a testable hypothesis to replace Genesis and break the Catholic two truths theory with an experimentum crucis like Galileo’s observation of the phases of Venus to settle the Copernican question.

I want to settle the theological question: physics or mythology, greatly cheered by JJ Hopfield’s Nobel prize. What is the settlement. The beginning (Aristotle) Aquinas’s god is bare? naked? gravitation which is all penetrating, affecting every moment of our lies, the universal force, the divinity, equipped with an irresistible lust for life which penetrates every pore of the whole universe, the god that drives quantum mechanics to the search for stable structure, driving the equivalent of hylomorphism for which I need a portmanteau word combining action, energy and form working together inside the boundaries of consistency / omnipotence. Kolmogorov’s tabula rasa is the foundation from which the variation from which the world arises. John J. Hopfield (2024_12_08): Nobel Lecture: Physics is a point of view

My idea of resistance is to create something so new and powerful that it sweeps the old stuff out of sight. My new theology is intended to be the epitome of theologies, binding

[page 141]

all human knowledge and being into a single unit, what is sometimes called a theory of everything, a formal representation capable of embracing every structure and event in the universe, a transfinite quantum (digital) communication network constrained only by consistency and starting from empty omnipotence, another word for the initial singularity, empty gravitation.

So now at last theological genocide is coming to an end. The evolutionary formation of the universe on variation and selection deletes the god of absolute control as it deletes all the autocrats and infallible popes and leads us to individual self determination among particles of all sizes which, in human societies, means effective education about all the issues facing each individual and the freedom for each individual to decide their path through this sea of possibility. The algorithm has given us the perfect world of nature in which wilderness is the most gentle and stable system and it is what we observe before we start bulldozing, imprisoning and killing everything that we depend on for survival and beauty. The paradigm to follow is the way our own bodies manage the trillions of cells that constitute them.

The politics of creation. We can see that the universe has a very simple beginning, easily comprehensible. Evolution by variation and selection has the power to explain everything. And it teaches us that the murderous politics of imperialism is wrong. Imagine that you are a carnivorous lion watching the crucifixion . . .

Now the governments of Israel and Russia are committing genocide under the cover of their old gods. . .

The agony of Galileo, the first scientist, derived from the genocide described in the book of Joshua (10:12-13) in the Hebrew Bible. There Joshua asked Yahweh to stop the Sun to give him time to finish killing the inhabitants of the Promised Land. Two thousand years later the Holy Inquisition took this text seriously and threatened Galileo’s life for discovering that the real world works differently.

Jesus is a blaspheming heretic. The high priests know he deserves to die and they know the occupying Romans, imperial to the core, will make a good job of it.

Blurb/precis/abstract. Sixty years ago I signed away my

[page 143]

humanity to become a slave to the imperial Roman Catholic Church. I took lifelong vows of poverty, chastity and obedience to become a member of the Order of Preachers. This order was founded soon after Pope Innocent III had conducted a military crusade against heretics in Southern France, possibly killing a million of them. I joined the Order at the time of the second Vatican council and was deeply impressed by the way Thomas Aquinas had introduced Aristotelian science into Christianity. I wrote an essay suggesting that the Church could move into the twentieth century by repeating this renovation of theology, this time using real science. My plan involved the hypothesis that the universe is divine, heresy in the Catholic Church. I was expelled from the Order and this essay is the result of my conviction, like Galileo, that I was right and the Church is wrong, espousing a genocidal imperialist theology which has cost many millions of lives beginning in ancient Sumeria [Mesopotamia] when the priests and emporers [warlords] began to build their houses next to one another.

Fizzled at the end. Must emphasize the intelligence and self control of particles, begining with elementary and then applying symmetry wth respect to complexity to get to people [, the universe as a whole] and democratic freedom with reference to common physics serving as the DNA for social solidarity and cooperation as in our bodies and then critique of imperialist

falsehoods enforced by violence.

Catholic Church is the oldest and most powerful autoracy which keeps a very tight rein on doctrine. My preious 7 sections have rendered the Christian god with omniscience unnecessary so we start with ignorant omnipotence. “Truth” enforced by violence.

Why do I come to a grinding halt all of a sudden? Bed now and wake uo with a better story [intellectual progress is like evolutionary progress, extinctions, breakthroughs and a lot of business as usual]

We have replaced the imperial omniscient god in charge of everything with an empty omnipotent source of power which gradually multiples into a vast number of independent entities. Now we look for the political consequences of this and the lion tells the story.

§ 7. Fermions, bosons, Minkowski space and relativity

§ 8. Political differences between universe that created itself and a universe created by a classical god. Evil and predation, the lion and the empire, ie the political consequences of a divine [self created, like the Trinity] universe. Its taking a long time to get this right but I hope it will be worth it since it cuts to the base of global human ideology which must be reformed before world peace will be possible A common TOE [based on the success of the evolved physical structure of the universe]

[page 145]

is needed for our harmony with the world which will (?) imply harmony with one another. Harmony / superposition, quantum mechanics/ stability [nodes]. All these ideas are coalescing like the waves on the two stone pond.

Phone:

My story is relatively credible with respect to the Catholic story.

My story is very simple because the universe was very simple at the beginning.

§ 8. The poltical consequences of the self-made universe. There is nobody in charge. There is no space and time in Hilbert space. All distsances ae measured by the multidimensional angle between vectors measured by their inner product.

Massless particles are memory, carrying states (spin, not frequency) eg cosmic background.

QM symmetrical w. r. t. complexity - we begin with 2D duality of particles boson and fermion and continue to countable infinity base state of the universe. Tired mind, sleep on it and start again.

Home again, Auntie Rosalie vague but lively.

Some numerical thoughts on evolution. Say genome 1G bases, possibilities 4billion. Say one billion species at any time, so 4billion - 1 genomes rejected. Selection process rejects a huge number of possibilities which are judged “bad”.

The split between fermions and bosons is very closely

[page 146]

related to the split between space and time — they are orthogonal and there are there orthogonal dimensions in space (which means?)

You wanted excellence. I have had the day off today, apart from writing on the phone, because I have come to terms with a qubit whose two basis states are fermions and bosons.

We can explain the execution of the quantum algorithm by the role of the clock in a real computer in Minkowski space, the form being activated by the input of energy from gravitation.

New blurb: The hypothesis in this essay is that imperialism is a destructive evil in the human political world created by the [combination of ] theological assumption of divinity described in Exodus: “I am the Lord your God and you shall have no other gods before me” [and the development of physical technologies like steel swords that made it easy to kill people, particularly if they were unarmed. Exodus 32]. Theologians, working for emperors in ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia identified their rulers with this concept of divinity and gave us the top down Catholic Church and the autocratic Papacy which continues to accept that men and women are unequal in their relationship to divinity and base their beliefs on ancient mythology and enforce them by violence. Here we devise a model of the universe beginning bottom up which rejects imperialism and favours

[page 147]

democracy. The model is as least as credible as the Catholic model and opens the Church to accepting the modern standards of human rights, freedom and science and provides as framework for a scientific theology to unite all the ideological belief systems on Earth.

The down after the up. The wave of consciousness. I am very happy with my article to the Atlantic but it is hard to imagine them accepting it. Will sit on it for the weekend and then send it. Very appropriate attack on the imperialist theocratic autocratic Church now a new pope is elected who will continue to do battle against the ancient theological / capitalist establishment. So what’s next? Begin a workover of Lust for Life.

Saturday 10 May 2025

The purpose of this essay is to break the nexus between traditional theology, imperialism and genocide by replacing the top down omniscient creator of Genesis with a model of creation that begins with an eternal, omnipotent sructureless initial singularity which differentiates through an evolutionary process into the particulate structure of the universe analogous to the growth of the tree

[page 148]

of life from our last universal common ancestor. This model uses the symmetry of quantum mechanics with respect to complexity to show that all the discrete entities in the world are autonomous entities with a ‘[quantum] personality’ that governs their interactions with one another.

This symmetry holds from elementary particles to people and nations and supports bottom up democratic process rather than the top down imperial process, so common in the world today, which appears to be the source of genocidal imperial wars motivated by the search for theological and ideological hegemony made possible by modern physical technologies of physical violence, surveillance and autocratic control [think China].

The model for this evil is the evolutionary technique of predation taken beyond the limits of survival into a search for imperial hegemony illustrated by the depredations of the Putin government in Russia and the Netanyahu government in Israel both seeking to take control of a theologically designated Promised Land established by a fictitious deity.

The heart of the idea here is that the universe is itself divine so that physics and theology have the same subject and it is from physics that we can derive the verifiable evidence to create a scientific theology. We have learnt that doctors have no borders because human physiology is globally identical. By analogy we might seek global spiritual direction from the physical

[page 149]

unity of the universe we inhabit, ie we exploit the physical unity of our environment to establish the psychological unity of our minds. Thus endeth blurb [/pitch /synopsis / summary] n.

A bit technical but on the right track, we have to imitate the elementary particles [which are images of the initial singularity. Einstein fell at the very first jump here by seeking to use continuity rather than singularity as the foundation of his theory of everything]. There are 60 of them, in families comprising similar particles that are more or less duplicates of one another rooted in the differentiation into bosons which are like letters carrying messages through time from one point in space to the future, and fermions which constitute the structures that fill spacetime. Boson - Wikipedia, xFermion - Wikipedia

Forever struggling for a simple explanatory view of everything, theology / theory of everything, all derived from gravitation and logic. Read and edit my article with these concepts in mind. And I have found a pen [biro] designated Artline Smoove that constrains my writing to legibility by its friction with the paper removing the tremor from my hand? A tiding of great joy coupled to the content of my writing,

This article may not make it but I am converging on something.

What just slipped through my mid? A fleeting glimpse: that the initial singularity is a one dimensional Hilbert space,

[page 150]

an empty set whose reality is to be a container box or particle beginning with nothing in it. Everything in Minkowski space is such a particle whose inside we cannot see except myself which is conscious to me and the general thesis of cognitive cosmogenesis is that all other particles are conscious of themselves and this constitutes their agency which defines their role in the larger body politic.

The fundamental error of the Catholic Church is that it denies the agency of women just as imperialism denies the agency of all people [they have no vote], killing the outliers who act against it as Yahweh did to the worshippers of the golden calf. The root of agency in all particles is their inner quantum software. Exodus 32: The Lord orders Moses to slaughter the worshippers of the Golden Calf

Kolmogorov (1956), Andrey Nikolaevich, and Nathan Morrison (Translator) (With an added bibliography by A T Bharucha-Reid), Foundations of the Theory of Probability, Chelsea 1956 Preface: 'The purpose of this monograph is to give an axiomatic foundation for the theory of probability. . . . This task would have been a rather hopeless one before the introduction of Lebesgue's theories of measure and integration. However, after Lebesgue's publication of his investigations, the analogies between measure of a set and mathematical expectation of a random variable became apparent. These analogies allowed of further extensions; thus, for example, various properties of independent random variables were seen to be in complete analogy with the corresponding properties of orthogonal functions . . .'

Nicholls (2025), Jeffrey, Cognitive Cosmogenesis: A systematic integration of Physics and Theology, Austin Macauley 2025 ' More than 60 years ago my spiritual advisors (rightly or wrongly) diagnosed in me a divine call to the Roman Catholic priesthood. As soon as I turned 18 I entered the Dominican Order
I quickly fell on love with their leading theologian, Thomas Aquinas (1225 - 1275) and read him voraciously. His Latin is so easy and his ideas quite cosmic.
Aquinas revolutionized theology by harmonizing it with the work of Aristotle, the best science available in the Middle Ages. Since the time of Galileo (1562 - 1642) modern science has travelled far beyond Aristotle. We now have comprehensive knowledge of the Universe. We can now see that it is big enough and beautiful enough to be considered divine. It seems obvious to me that it is time to introduce science to theology once again. Just three steps are required:
First, we must assume that the Universe is divine. This makes God observable, amenable to modern science which is based on observation.
Second, it follows, if this is the case, that physics and theology have the same subject and must therefore be consistent.
Third we need open up a new field of research, repeating Aristotle’s ancient journey from physics to theology. In this book I have tried to trace a quantum theoretical path from the unstoppable omnipotent emptiness of the initial singularity to the exquisite complexity of our world. My only guide is the logical constraint placed on omnipotence by consistency.'

Al Jazeera (2025_05_08), Who Killed Shireen?, ' Filmmakers behind a new documentary on the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by Israeli forces say they have uncovered the identity of the soldier who pulled the trigger. Who Killed Shireen?, a 40-minute investigative documentary released on Thursday by Washington, DC-based media company Zeteo, identifies the killer as a 20-year-old Israeli soldier who was on his first combat tour in the occupied West Bank and lifts the lid on attempts by the United States to avoid holding ally Israel accountable for the murder. Dion Nissenbaum, the executive producer of the documentary, told Al Jazeera that its makers had set out to uncover exactly who was behind the killing – a secret closely guarded by Israel up to now, according to Zeteo – and that they hoped the findings would lead to further investigations by the US. The administration of former US President Joe Biden had “concluded early on that an Israeli soldier had intentionally targeted her, but that conclusion was overruled internally”, he said. [. . .] Abu Akleh was wearing a helmet and a clearly marked press vest when she was killed while covering an Israeli raid on the Jenin refugee camp on May 11, 2022, an act that the Al Jazeera Media Network condemned as a “cold-blooded assassination”. Investigations into her killing carried out by news agencies, rights groups and the United Nations have all concluded that Abu Akleh was killed – likely deliberately – by Israeli soldiers.' back

Amos Harel (2025_05_050, Analysis | Israel Is Heading for Another Disaster in Gaza, Fueled by Netanyahu's Delusional Plans, ' Let me be blunt: We are marching into another disaster in the Gaza Strip. If U.S. President Donald Trump opts to stay out of the matter during his visit to the Gulf next week, Israel will begin escalating its military operations in Gaza once he flies back to Washington. Given how the maneuver is being planned, it is fair to expect an invasion of large swathes of Gaza, prolonged territorial control, loss of life among hostages and soldiers, and further deterioration of the humanitarian situation the Palestinians are already suffering. It is doubtful, however, that it will achieve a decisive defeat of Hamas. [. . .] In fact, the Netanyahu government is engaged in fantasies that will be very difficult to realize. Along the way, the military operation could lead to the deaths of more hostages and the loss of many soldiers. It is no coincidence that most hostage families are displaying such a high level of anxiety. Since the army will try to minimize casualties, analysts expect it to use particularly aggressive force that will lead to extensive damage to Gaza's remaining civilian infrastructure. The displacement of the population to the areas of the humanitarian camps, combined with the ongoing shortage of food and medicine, could lead to further mass deaths of civilians. In fact, the Netanyahu government is engaged in fantasies that will be very difficult to realize. Boson - Wikipedia, Boson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, 'In particle physics, bosons are particles with an integer spin, as opposed to fermions which have half-integer spin. From a behaviour point of view, fermions are particles that obey the Fermi-Dirac statistics while bosons are particles that obey the Bose-Einstein statistics. They may be either elementary, like the photon, or composite, as mesons. All force carrier particles are bosons. They are named after Satyendra Nath Bose. In contrast to fermions, several bosons can occupy the same quantum state. Thus, bosons with the same energy can occupy the same place in space.' back

Fermion - Wikipedia, Fermion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, 'In particle physics, fermions are particles with a half-integer spin, such as protons and electrons. They obey the Fermi-Dirac statistics and are named after Enrico Fermi. In the Standard Model there are two types of elementary fermions: quarks and leptons. . . . In contrast to bosons, only one fermion can occupy a quantum state at a given time (they obey the Pauli Exclusion Principle). Thus, if more than one fermion occupies the same place in space, the properties of each fermion (e.g. its spin) must be different from the rest. Therefore fermions are usually related with matter while bosons are related with radiation, though the separation between the two is not clear in quantum physics. back

Randy Boyagoda (2025_05_09), The Pope’s Most Revealing Choice So Far, ' But that would be true of any pope in 2025, choosing any name. Perhaps the most provocative connection between Leo I and the new pope goes well beyond immediate Catholic concerns. In 452, Leo I risked his life by traveling hundreds of miles from Rome to meet Attila the Hun, who was in the midst of a murderous campaign across continental Europe. Leo is said to have dressed in papal finery and flattered Attila by praising his military successes. But he also directly challenged Attila. According to ancient testimony, Leo concluded the meeting with a religious plea that was just as much a blunt challenge: “Now we pray that thou, who hast conquered others, shouldst conquer thyself.” Popular legend has it that Attila decided against attacking Rome after he met with Leo, sparing countless lives.' back

Rhonda Garelick (2025_04_28), America’s Premier Living Dandy Doesn’t Want the Title, ' Iké Udé will tell you that he is not a dandy, and that he wonders why Americans are so keen to categorize people. “I don’t think I should elect to call myself anything,” he said. If pressed, though, the elegant Mr. Udé, a New York artist born in Nigeria, will acknowledge that “dandyism is a discipline,” one that he does practice, even while refusing any label. Yet dandyism is all about refusal — of fixed identities, of mediocrity, of gender conventions, of the boundary between life and art. Dandyism blends literary and artistic creation with the art of personality, the careful cultivation of image and behavior — all of which applies to Mr. Udé’s practice. Mr. Udé, 60, has long enjoyed a reputation as a pre-eminent dandyist artist; in fact, his portrait appears on the cover of “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,” the landmark 2009 study by Monica L. So who is the Black dandy, why are they so important to fashion today, and what can we expect to see on the red carpet? “Black dandy” is a modern term. Figures like American abolitionist Frederick Douglass (1818–95) or Haitian revolutionary leader Toussaint Louverture (1743–1803) would not have called themselves dandies, but they used style with similar effect: as a tool of resistance, self-fashioning and cultural pride. Toussaint Louverture was a leader during the widespread uprisings of enslaved people in Saint-Domingue (now Haiti) in 1791. French poet Charles Baudelaire (1821–67) first wrote about dandies in 1863, describing them as individuals who elevate style to a form of personal and aesthetic resistance. Yafei Zhang et al (2025_05_01), Geometrically frustrated rose petals, ' Growth and form are deeply interconnected, in a manner often mediated by mechanical instabilities arising from geometric incompatibilities. Although Gauss incompatibility has long been recognized as the source of morphing in naturally growing slender organs, here we show that the growth profile of rose petals remains Gauss compatible. Their distinctive shape emerges from a different type of geometric incompatibility, the Mainardi-Codazzi-Peterson (MCP) incompatibility, which leads to the formation of localized cusps along the petal margins. We validated this mechanism in model disc petals theoretically, computationally, and experimentally. Our study reveals distinct morphological regimes, ranging from smooth edges to cusp-forming configurations, and demonstrates how stress focusing at cusps influences subsequent petal growth. These findings position MCP incompatibility as a generic mechanism for cusp formation in both natural and manmade self-morphing sheets.' back
