Charmian Clift. Died by Suicide 8/July 1969 45yo Rachel Lane Rachel Lane (Director): Charmian Clift — Documentary Life Burns High

As I approach 81 years I worry about myself, am I on a downward spiral? My book is published and I have great faith in it although I feel the need to publish a second volume justifying my understanding of quantum mechanics, my rejection of quantum field theory and widening and deepening my conception of quantum mechanics as the foundation of physics, theology and the politics of human existence. This is a big job, but not to panic, give myself two years to complete a manuscript and hopefully in that period see Cognitive Cosmogenesis begin to fly and get a little visibility. Jeffrey Nicholls (2025): Cognitive Cosmogenesis: A systematic integration of physics ansd theology

My cash position, health and accommodation are good so the real worries in my life are minimal except the relationship to two of my partners and three of my children which seems objectively worse than the betrayal by her husband that led Charmian Clift to suicide. [On the bright side view . . . their accusation of pedophilia gave me deeper insight into the evils of the Catholic Church [which I implicate in the suicide of my brother] and their ostracism gave me the freedom to put all my energy into the revolutionary identification of physics, theology and [politics] which have taken embryonic shape in Cognitive Cosmogenesis.

I always doubt that I understand quantum mechanics properly and now that I have turned 81 it is time to read Khinchin carefully to overcome the imposter syndrome that haunts my book [partly because I am trying to bring down a significant proportion of the theology, politics and theology industries]. Khinchin (1960, 1998): The Mathematical Foundations of Quantum Statistics

[page 237]

Chaya Kasif: Gender diversity in Mesopotamia (2026_01_12). Servants of the goddess Istar. Chaya Kasif (2026_01_12): Not just ‘eunuchs’ or sex workers: in ancient Mesopotamia, gender‑diverse people held positions of power

So Khinshin at last, and in the introduction he seems to have missed the same point as all the rest of them, that the real truth of quantum mechanics is not the uncertainty principle but the sharp distinction of the results produced by self-adjoint operators which to me are connected to the logical and quantum nature of quantum mechanics: [Cogntive Cosmogenesis] the integral, real quanta are very sharply defined, but some might want to see uncertainty in the non existent gaps between them].

Khinchin page 4: ‘We must therefore suppose that the state of a system which has definite total energy does not in general change with time. This might be a new argument for justice that in zero-sum bifurcation in the energy of gravitation the Lagrangian and the Hamiltonian remain zero and justice is universal.

Khinchin says ergodic methods are of no value in QM but Von N says we can prove the ergodic theorem in QM. Bearing in mind that there is no space and time in QM. John von Neumann (1932): Proof of the Quasi-Ergodic Hypothesis

The question for me is what is left of the structural elements of a set of vectors which have been superposed by a self-adjoint operator with a real diagonal [and so placed on a real basis?]. This topic must form the third section of Justice after an introduction and a brief discussion of classical theological / religious metaethics.

Khinchin page 6: 1. complete set of eigenfunctions for complete symmetric and antisymmetric schemes, the fundamental eigenfuctions. The states which are described by these eigenfunction are called the fundamental states of the system [the eigenfunctions are orthogonal and the same number as the dimension of the space, to they form a basis for the space.]

[page 238]

Occupation numbers specify the number of particles of the system which are found in a particular state, ie the particles are in the states, not the states in the particles. I have begun with quantum states and made them into particle by giving them energy [ie substance and individuation, ie a rate of action E = hf.

Are my political hopes for quantum mechanics based on misunderstandings, ie what does the eigenvalue equation really mean [it in fact reduces a headful of expressions (a matrix) to one expression at a time (a vector)].

Treil: Linear Algebra Done Wrong Sergei Treil (2026_01_21): Linear Algebra Done Wrong

page 104, Chapter 4; ‘Spectral theory is the main tool that helps us to understand the structure of a linear operator and we presume that the linear operator embedded in as particle is the heart of their personality expressed through eigenvalues and eigenvectors, whose statistics are studied by Khinchin.

‘The main idea of spectra theory is to split the operator into simple blocks and analyze each block separately’.

Difference equation are discrete time analogue of differential equations A : V → V is a linear transformation, xn is a state at time n, xn + 1 = Axn.

Here eigenvalues and eigenvectors come in. Suppose that Ax0 = λx0 where λ is some scalar, so A2 x0 = λ2 etc. A scalar λ is called an eigenvalue of A if there is a vector v ∈ V such that Av = λv, then v is an eigenvector.

[page 239]

Ax0 = λx0 is equivalent to (A - λI)x = 0, finding all the eigenectors corresponding to an eigenvalue λ is finding the null space of A - λI, nullspace ker (A - λI) = 0 is eigenspace.

The set of all eigenvalues of A is called the spectrum of the operator A. Iff A is square, (A - λI) → A is non-invertible, ie A has determinant 0.

If A is an n × n matrix the determinant det (A - λI) is a polynomial of degree n, the characteristic polynomial.

So the question becomes - what is the political implication of this equation and how does it relate to the energy associated with the linear operator which defines the state of a “particle” [relationship] which we take to be two fermions and the boson acting between them - the heart of l4l essay 2_Justice - long shot [particularly when we imagine that this little setup that explains the exclusion principle , which stops fermions intruding into the affairs of one another, is the foundation of justice which makes space spatial, such a glorious thought if I could pull it off; it is all hiding in linear algebra which I am struggling to learn without, as ever, doing the exercises, bad, but such insights make this work worthwhile, and come after 60 years of oozing along.].

Solving characteristic polynomial only possible analytically up to degree 4.

1.3. Finding characteristic polynomial and eigenvalues of an abstract operator. Recipe: take an arbrtary basis and compute the eigenvalues of the matrix of the operator in this basis,

How do we know the result does not depend on the basis?

Today’s insight: The truth of my book all depends on linear algebra! [And not the statisitics that hae captured the attention of so many quantum mechanics]

[page 240]

Characteristic polynomial of an operator is the characteristic polynomial of the matrix and (as von N says) the result does not depend on the choice of bases so the characteristic polynomial is well defined.

Treil page 102: Complex vs real spaces: Finding eigenvalues will mean finding all complex eigenvalues; ‘complexification of vector space’

1.5: Multiplicities of eigenvalues; p(z) = Σ ak zk of degree k has n roots, counting mulyiplicity [Quantum computation works on qubits, 2 eigenvalues].

Letter to Adelaide Festival Book Week: Despite the political storms that blow up in our collective space we must work together to repair the damage. My book recognizes the truth of the indigenous picture of the world by assuming that the universe built itself over the last 14 billion years using the primitive forces of gravitation and quantum mechanics which implicitly contain the political features of personal freedom and agency and interprersonal justice. These features are responsible for the beauty and power of the evolved world.

[page 241]

The formal side of a particle is a matrix which has many eigenvalues and eigenvectors since a particle is an independent agent or operator and not simply the slave of a field.

The key feature of quantum mechanics is that it is linear whereas Minkowski space is quadratic and quantum field theory shows how badly they fit together. Nevertheless Dirac laid the foundations of field theory by linearizing the Schrödinger equation. Dirac equation - Wikipedia

Continuing the physicist story page 234 we emphasize the personality of the particle embedded in its matrix (womb) and couple the real outputs to the gravitational bifurcation that gives them energy.

My vocabulary is my spectrum.

I began so think of the ideas I am building into Lust-4-Life as technology for human survival that in the old days was called a religion. I am reverting to the indigenous paradigm where the observable universe correctly interpreted becomes the practical bible and the keys to ethics, morals and politics are to be found in this document [which includes all forms of life from viruses to Tirranosauri and their ways of life]. My near term task is to upgrade quantocracy as the basis of Khinchin and Triel bringing linear algebra to the front

[page 242]

and emphasis on the fact that the linearity of QM lays the foundation for the quadracity of special relativity and at the same time greatly simplifies our understanding of the world in the face of the fudges snd complexities of field theory. The Justice essay will be built around quantum electrodynamics and gravitation as in the old days of Weyl and Einstein leading up to the modern Yang-Mills intro the gauge theory Wiki. Yang-Mills theory - Wikipedia

Randa Abdel-Fattah, Lawyer at NSW Supreme Court, GPO Box 6, Sydney, NSW 2000 (book sent [returned, so sent to Macquarie U)

The physics story again: The first step quantocracy replaces global field with independent particles whose formal structures are represented by matrices mapping Hilbert space onto its4elf, a linear recursive process formally governed by linear algebra with complex scalars which are in fact 2D vectors. We have postulated (language) that the bifurcation of zero energy gravitation, a form of action whose essence and existence are identical because of its simplicity [like the divine quntum]. We assume from our general experience with pendulums and forces that kinetic energy, identical to mass, gives us massive particles and potential energy,e embodied in massless bosons serges to communicate between fermions and in some way mediates their attraction and repulsion from one another, establishing the exclusion principle and the atomic and molecular structure that constitute the energy / information bearing elements of the world. As usual this little passage repeats thing that have frequently been said before, but each time, like polishing a mirror, we creep hopefully toward a final expression, so something like the quantum mechanical discovery of the matrix, an eigenvector and an

[page 243]

eigenvalue. Having sorted this out as the fundamental interaction of personality we then turn to just interaction and propose that the precise bifurcation of zero energy (static) action into dynamic balance between potential and actual is the backbone of justice. As I say, a long shot, but promising. If only it would work out.

Thursday 15 January 2026

It seems clear enough that the answers to this problem must be quite simple at this primordial level of complexity. The real question is probably how do physical fermions and bosons, forms energized by gravitation rather than fields energized by fluctuation, create Minkowski space and the mass shell. We have to start from the quantum source of the symmetry of spacetime that depends on the Lorentz transformation. It has to do with the fact (perhaps) that the photon is a basis state of Hilbert space. This is a new sentence [and maybe all the fundamental paticles, the most basic basis being the bare quantum of action, a real object formally identical to the initial singularity, the logical constituent of everything.

Genocide seems to correlate with autocratic theocratic regimes.

The icloud and the computer are such a mess that I am tempted to buy a new computer but I am [trying to conserve money].

The gravitational zero sum bifurfation into kinetic and potential energy guarantees that the Lagrangian is the correct way is to test whether complex systems like the gauge theory of quantum electrodynamics and the more complicated nuclear reactions work out [not to mention rabbits and all other species].

40 books ordered from AM ($800), new SSD kaputt, ticket 47319.

What is the question? 1.Get HD fixed. 2. finish putting computer back together after icloud episode. Macfixit say Samsung 4TB.

Returned Crucial drive for 629 credit, purchased Samsung 870 EVO 4TB SATA SSD $666.60, Need external case, since one I have already has 2TB SSD inside.

SSD requires a certain amount of software to map serial steam of data onto a complex piece of silicon and we assume that quantum mechanics without space and time has a similar problem in mapping onto Minkowski space, the role of the fermion and bosons with an element of time (the velocity of light) involved which probably says something about the combination of 3D Euclidean space with null geodesics.

Helen Knight and Peter: This book is the first of a series which I will keep writing until I drop dead on the political and social implications of a universe which has a built itself from next to nothing to unimaginable magnificence and it is up to us to, if we are going to make anything of ourselves, to look into this process and learn from it. A true theology which is the foundation of a truly creative religion.

Khinchin page 80 sqq: Here at least we may see the introduction of

[page 246]

a quantum analogue of time in a statistical interpretation of the Schrödinger equation since the actual basis on which the equation is written does not matter, any basis of orthogonal vectors will be unitary but there will be a distinction between symmetric and anti-symmettruc statistics depending on the permutations of the random bases. In the boson subspace all sequences lead to the same result, but in the fermion subspace a sequence of bases will lead to a second being the negative of the first, or something like that. In the absence of time the varying intervals between the random events have no meaning. Each event is a quantum of action and since energy is the rate of action we have fluctuating energy which is tamed by the fact that KE - PE is always zero, and in this way the random spacing of quanta of action can be controlled, as it is in atomic physics to give us very fixed frequencies [and we should bear in mind that the topological domain of gravitation is continuous, the only place where calculus can be legitimately used, so that since the space of axiomatic probability is also continuous, increments of time/energy, although the results of discrete quantum of action, may have any value greater than zero.

The story above depends on taking the Schrödinger equation in pure quantum mechanics [attached to the initial singularity as a difference equation running on the sequence of basis states appearing at random in the primordial Hilbert space]. So ends the week [net contribution of the gold industry to my new teeth $2987, lost a bit on SSD’s]

Nicholls (2025), Jeffrey, Cognitiv Cosmogenesis: A systematic unification of physics and theology, Austin Macauley Publishers 12025 ' This book is a personal narrative of those events and a defense of the belief that the universe itself is divine. The central argument is that by embracing this reality and abandoning notions of supernatural deities, humanity can resolve its problems. The universe, it is argued, is self-creating, and a proper understanding of physics leads to a plausible scientific theology. The natural intelligence inherent in the universe, from cellular organization to ecosystems, far surpasses any artificial intelligence. Comprehending this natural order, the author suggests, would make achieving world peace relatively straightforward. The book contends that modern theologians should recognize the physical world, rather than ancient texts, as the foundation for credible theology. It also addresses the historical entanglement of religion and politics, asserting that the model of creation presented herein fundamentally rejects the imperialistic ambitions that have fueled genocidal holy wars.'

Chaya Kasif (2026_01_12), Not just ‘eunuchs’ or sex workers: in ancient Mesopotamia, gender‑diverse people held positions of power, ' Today, trans people face politicisation of their lives and vilification from politicians, media and parts of broader society.
But in some of history’s earliest civilisations, gender-diverse people were recognised and understood in a wholly different way.
As early as 4,500 years ago in ancient Mesopotamia, for instance, gender-diverse people held important roles in society with professional titles. These included the cultic attendants of the major deity Ištar, called assinnu, and high-ranking royal courtiers called ša rēši.
What the ancient evidence tells us is that these people held positions of power because of their gender ambiguity, not despite it.[. . .]
The Sumerians invented writing by creating wedges on clay tablets. The script, called cuneiform, was made to write the Sumerian language but would be used by the later civilisations to write their own dialects of Akkadian, the earliest Semitic language. [. . .]
While early historians understood these figures as “eunuchs” or “cultic sex workers”, the evidence shows it was because they lived unbound by the gender binary that these groups were able to hold powerful roles in Mesopotamian society. As we recognise the importance of transgender and gender-diverse people in our communities today, we can see this as a continuity of respect given to these early figures.' back

In its free form, or including electromagnetic interactions, it describes all spin-1⁄2 massive particles such as electrons and quarks, for which parity is a symmetry, and is consistent with both the principles of quantum mechanics and the theory of special relativity, and was the first theory to account fully for special relativity in the context of quantum mechanics. It accounted for the fine details of the hydrogen spectrum in a completely rigorous way.' back

She had movie star looks, a brilliant writing career and a passionate, creative marriage. Yet the sacrifice of security for the bohemian romance of life on a Greek island with its famous friends, parties, drinking, love affairs and poverty, led to her death by suicide at forty-six. There is a revival of interest in Clift and her writing because of her clear vision on so many issues which still trouble Australia. There is a desire to see her step out of the shadow of her husband George Johnston. “In every generation there are certain writers who function as national weathervanes, recording change in the social and political climate. Sergei Treil (2026_01_21), Linear Algebra Done Wrong, 'Besides being a first course in linear algebra it is also supposed to be a first course introducing a student to rigorous proof, formal definitions—in short, to the style of modern theoretical (abstract) mathematics. The target audience explains the very specific blend of elementary ideas and concrete examples, which are usually presented in introductory linear algebra texts with more abstract definitions and constructions typical for advanced books.
Another specific of the book is that it is not written by or for an alge- braist. So, I tried to emphasize the topics that are important for analysis, geometry, probability, etc., and did not include some traditional topics. For example, I am only considering vector spaces over the fields of real or complex numbers. Linear spaces over other fields are not considered at all, since I feel time required to introduce and explain abstract fields would be better spent on some more classical topics, which will be required in other dis- ciplines. And later, when the students study general fields in an abstract algebra course they will understand that many of the constructions studied in this book will also work for general fields.
Also, I treat only finite-dimensional spaces in this book and a basis always means a finite basis. The reason is that it is impossible to say something non-trivial about infinite-dimensional spaces without introducing convergence, norms, completeness etc., i.e. the basics of functional analysis. And this is definitely a subject for a separate course (text). So, I do not consider infinite Hamel bases here: they are not needed in most applications to analysis and geometry, and I feel they belong in an abstract algebra course.' back

Yang–Mills theory seeks to describe the behavior of elementary particles using these non-Abelian Lie groups and is at the core of the unification of the electromagnetic force and weak forces (i.e. U(1) × SU(2)) as well as quantum chromodynamics, the theory of the strong force (based on SU(3)). Thus it forms the basis of our understanding of the Standard Model of particle physics.' back
