The Apostles Creed
Latin text, Denzinger
30. English text Book of Common
Prayer 1992, p
38.
Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem,
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
creatorem caeli et terrae,
Maker of heaven and earth:
et in Iesum Christum, Filium eius unicum, Dominum
nostrum,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
qui conceptus est de Spiritu Sancto, natus ex
Maria Virgine,
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin
Mary,
passus sub Pontio Pilato, crucifixus, mortuus et
sepultus, descendit ad inferos,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and
buried, He descended into hell;
tertia die resurrexit a mortuis
The third day he rose again from the dead,
ascendit ad caelos, sedet ad dexteram Dei Patris
omnipotentis
He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of
God the Father Almighty;
inde venturus est iudicare vivos et mortuos
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the
dead
Credo in Spiritum Sanctum,
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
sanctam Eclesiam catholicam, sanctorum
communionem
The Holy Catholick Church; The Communion of Saints;
remissionem peccarorum, carnis resurrexionem, et
vitam aeternam
The forgiveness of sins; The resurrection of the body, and
life everlasting. Amen

Scripturam cuique theologo summe desiderandus sit etiam liber manualis quo contineantur edicta Magisterii ecclesiastici eaque saltem maioris momenti, et quo ope variorim indicum quaerenti aperiantur eorum materiae.'
