rewrite cl4l02_hilbert, emphasizing creation as increase in entropy and refuting the common idea that entropy is a bad thing like chaos.

Local phase symmetry is the same as local inertial symmetry - it is a condition of quantum mechanics existing prior to the emergence of space and time and it is taken care of at the quantum level, compressing all the properties of electromagnetism in Minkowski space via the creation of particles into fermions and bosons. This is the opposite of Behiel’s (and classical) approach which feeds the observations in Minkowski space back into quantum mechanics. The new insight must now be introduced into the ten steps in parallel to the quantum introduction of inertial symmetry which demands Lorentz transformations [and creates the mass shell] and is all connected and makes me so happy after spending all day yesterday listening to Behiel and making notes (pp 220 - 225) and despairing of ever making sense of this complex story which flies in the face of Occam’s heuristic razor, my heuristic of simplicity.

My book turns theology and physics upside down and now I am slowly extracting the consequences. Since very few people are capable of changing their minds (Einstein). I will have to wait a generation to see real change.

Post book to Philip Adams with covering email.

Physics has been greatly muddled and corrupted by writing Hilbert on Minkowski space, possibly motivated by ancient Gnostic absolute dichotomy between spirit (good) and matter (sex, Paul) bad. My book undoes that - explain to Philip.

So what fixes the velocity of light? We have to work out the relationship between space and time dictated by the idea that fermions are massive and photons massless, a bit like determining the mass of an electron by a hermitian operation.

Hard to understand but it must have a bit to do with the null geodesic [a throwback to Hilbert, “not spacetime”].

cl4l03_intelligence finished. Now cl4l04_energy. Energy does not come from fluctuation but as a consequence of the zero sum bifurcation of gravitation, rather like banking, where the equivalence of potential and kinetc energy demonstrated in gravitational field of the Earth [by a pendulum] serves as paradigm [and evidence!] for this process and builds Hamilton’s principle into the universe ab initio.

The root of the evolutionary uncertainty in the universe lies in the random development of Hilbert basis states in the initial singularity when it linearly maps onto itself, unlike the mappings envisaged in field theory which are parametrized by the interaction constants like the fine structure constant (writing in the dark, ignoring the lines).

[page 231]

I am always reluctant to rubbish quantum field theory but the more I look at it the more it looks like the doctrinal rubbish that the Catholic Church teaches, a complete figment of the imagination built nevertheless on a vast mass of data, its computations yielding miraculously precise results but having to circumvent ideas like infinity and invisible web of apparently Platonic forces that come from nowhere. But can I trust my intuition? Is my story better? Can I calculate anything?

[computer icloud trouble]

Quantum field theory is about a somwhat undefined field in Minkowski space which is fully constrained by the Einstein mass shell which makes it a matter of matter whereas I want to make the universe a spiritual thing and so I take it out of Minkowski space and put it in Aquinas’s absolutely simple god but I am blocked by the fact that information is physical and so cannot be in an immaterial god, so the answer is to make the complex Hilbert space spiritual and then have the infinitely complex spatial divinity spit out real eigenvectors which are selected perfectly from the quantum system by the superposition of complex waves to give real eigenvectors. I have slowly worked my way toward this without really understanding what I was doing but the new vision is becoming compelling and in a century or so it will be gospel [“the abstract form concrete matter bootstrap”.]

A brief peek II from cl4l04_energy: god, trinity, QM, Augustine. A story for the physicists, making quantum mechanics the underlying formalism rather than 61 (?) putative forms - emphasis on linearity and overcoming the complexity and quadratic mix with Minkowski.

Two points: Energy from bifurcation of gravitation; form from quantum evolution first pass hermitian, second pass simplicity and reproducibility (maybe to some extent dependent on Minkowski space as the “operating system of the universe” [see Cognitivecosmology.com: page 20: space-time—the cosmic memory and operating system].

And another makes three: Physicists still hooked on Genesis creation by omnipotent and omniscient, eternal, deterministic being so they [ignored] Darwin, variation and uncertainty [and overlooked] the mathematical precision implicit in self-adjoint operators.

Next job: read QFT In a Nutshell : But it is wrong from the start, just like Weinberg. QM predates Minkowski space. Anthony Zee (2010): Quantum Field Theory in a Nutshell

[page 234]

Patching up the relationship between god and the world means giving quantum mechanics priority like Aquinas and the Trinity. Quantum mechanics gives us the genetics of the world via [wave vectors and] Hermitian operators. Energy makes these forms real, but how do we distinguish between massive fermions and massless bosons? The upgrade of theology is dead simple, the real problem is to describe the physical universe.

The physicists story:

A physical understanding is a completely unmathematical, imprecise, and inexact thing, but absolutely necessary for a physicist. Feynman, Leighton and Sands FLP II_02: Chapter 2: Differential Calculus of Vector Fields

The unification of physics and theology proposed in this book requires complete revision of both physics and theology. Theology fails because it is built on mythological fiction. It can be rebuilt when we understand that the material universe is the voice of god, the real bible, the real data which reveals the mind of god, the true subject of theology. Indigenous theologies know this.

Physics fails because it is stalled in Minkowski space, perhaps trapped by the genius of Einstein and the incomparable perfection of general relativity which fits the facts to the limits of precision measurement. Quantum field theory is the way it is, Weinberg says, because it is the only way to reconcile quantum mechancs and special relativity. Hidden in this idea is the idea that special relativity is primary because it led Einstein to gravity and quantum mechanics is secondary, so we frame it in Minkowski space. This idea implies that the union of quantum mechanics and relativity demands that quantum mechanics must be modified to fit Minkowski space, giving us quantum field theory.

[page 235 insert into p 234]

This conception leaves us with a gap between quantum mechanics and gravitation which many have been trying to bridge with a quantum theory of gravitation.

Here we close this gap using ancient theology. The traditional god is absolutely simple, eternal, omniscient and immaterial. We may quantify the quality of omniscience by noting that at since at this stage god is all there i and it knows all there is to be known about itself, which is in effect nothing. Muslim theologians developed the idea from Aristotle and Plato and passed it to the medieval Christians clothed in the statement that in divinty essence is identical to existence.

[page 234]

Here I suggest that a theological approach gives us a smoother, more beautiful and tractable result if we turn the picture around and imagine is that Minkowski space is a creation of quantum mechanics wrought through the creation of fermions and bosons. [These forms are developed by hermitian operators acting in Hilbert space transforming their matrices (forms) to a basis of real eigenvalues. Their physical materialization is the consequence of the bifurcation of a zero energy initial singularity (equivalent to Einstein’s coordinate free gravitation) into negative potential energy (bosons) and positive kinetic energy (fermions) as we see in a pendulum. This step automatically creates a zero, stationary Lagrangian which guides the subsequent evolution of the universe.]

[page 235 continued]

We take the next step with Augustine whose introspection led him to an early version of Brouwer’s fixed point theorem. He could imagine himself as a fixed point within himself and when he extrapolated this to the idea of God he took a first step toward explaining the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, concluding that the Father’s idea of himself is the Son of God and the Father and Son between them conceived the Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. Here we conceive this idea as the initial singularity reflecting on itself to conceive a countable infinity of fixed points which serve as a set of orthogonal bases for a Hilbert space. Mary Sirridge (1999): Quam videndo intus dicimus: Seeing and Saying in De Trinitate XV, Dale Tuggy (2020_11_24): Revised version of “Trinity” in the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy

Given this space we imagine a qubit ψ = α|fermion⟩ + β|boson⟩ which creates the forms of the fermions and bosons which give us the pixellated Minkowski space in which we observe the uncertainty principle operating at the elementary scale of the quantum of action. Then, by analogy with Aristotle’s hylomorphism we imagine gravitation bifurcating into kinetic and potential energy [like a pendulum] which realizes the quantum forms as real particles and the construction of atoms, molecules and everything else proceed as currently conceived.

Four people including three children were killed when a drone struck a tent sheltering displaced people in southern Gaza, agency spokesperson Mahmud Bassal told AFP. In my misguided quest for completeness, the version I turned in before was significantly longer. But the editors showed me some tough love and required me to shorten it. Feynman, Leighton and Sands FLP II_02, Chapter 2: Differential Calculus of Vector Fields, ' Ideas such as the field lines, capacitance, resistance, and inductance are, for such purposes, very useful. So we will spend much of our time analyzing them. In this way we will get a feel as to what should happen in different electromagnetic situations. On the other hand, none of the heuristic models, such as field lines, is really adequate and accurate for all situations. There is only one precise way of presenting the laws, and that is by means of differential equations. They have the advantage of being fundamental and, so far as we know, precise. If you have learned the differential equations you can always go back to them. There is nothing to unlearn.' back
